“It means the world to me to be able to give back to the types of programs that allowed me to find myself as a young musician. I've always been involved with teaching and helping youth orchestras with performances, and this is yet another way to try to bring the love of music to more people.”

Biography

Andrew Young is a performer and composer based out of San Diego, California. Born in Fresno, California, he found his love for music in the Youth Orchestras of Fresno and has continued to pursue that passion. While initiating his career as a professional horn player during college, he devoted much of his time to teaching and trying to find new ways to engage future generations in music. Andrew has composed his music with an emphasis on accessibility and expression. As a beneficiary of the eye-opening experiences to be found in youth orchestras, he greatly looks forward to providing new performance opportunities for students at a pivotal time in their musical lives.
